"Cancelled operation"

Having waited 3 months for a fixed date surgery to cure acid reflux and hiatus hernia.I attended today at 07.30, after the normal checks my surgeon informed me that my surgery was in doubt. Due to the correct qualified staff that they required with them during my surgery not being available. But the surgeon was going to try and obtain the staff, however after 5 hours they could not proceed. I felt sorry for the surgeon who wanted go ahead but due to health and safety issues, could not go ahead with my surgery. They were very stressed with the management who could not provide the necessary staff.

I to was also getting very stressed out having prepared myself for surgery. I must now wait for another appointment.

This is the first time for me for major surgery in a NHS hospital I am not impressed.
