"Rehab ward"

About: Montagu Hospital

Hi

I've recently visited on a number of occasions a patient who suffered a stoke and is now on the rehab ward. I have always recommended montague hospital but unfortunately this ward is diabolical. The staff are unfriendly and uncaring, the patients are given no help or support they need. I witnessed medication left where patient can't see them let alone reach them hours later thrown away, same with meals and drinks , patient pressing buzzers for help not one person even checks what they want. The lady I visited was left in a chair from having her breakfast i visited at 5.00 pm and was desperately uncomfortable complaining about her back I spoke nurses on 4 occasions to help get back in bed with no success they did take her blood pressure and said it was far too low would check again manually disappeared for another hour while she was still sat in the chair they finally moved her at 7.45 but had still not checked her blood pressure. I feel that if the don't care they shouldn't be in a caring profession and while I unstandardised they may under staffed this doesn't help when they are sat about on comfy chairs chatting .
