"Treatment at Kings Mill Hospital"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance King's Mill Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

In the early hours of the morning, following taking Ill, my partner phoned me an ambulance. The paramedic arrived very quickly and immediately sought an ambulance to take me to hospital. I was given a choice of where to attend and I decided due to previous bad experiences at the other hospital to attend Kings Mill. All I can say is thank god that I did. The paramedic and ambulance staff were amazing. I got straight to A and E where the staff there both nursing and medical were so attentive and reassuring. I was given the tests needed very quickly and then transferred to EAU. Again the staff were amazing and made me feel so well looked after.

I was subsequently transferred to Ward 54 and stayed in overnight. The staff on ward 54 were also fab.

I was finally seen by a Neurologist who despite given me some upsetting news was very supportive. I am currently undergoing further investigations but I am reassured that I will continue to receive brilliant care!

Thank you! ! !

Dear Aimz11,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and for your kind words regarding your care.

I’m glad that our staff were able to make you and your partner feel at ease that morning; and that they were able to advise you of all your available care options.

If you are able, we would appreciate you sharing your comments with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team, with as much detail as you can (e.g. date, time and location). They will then be able to identify the crew that cared for you and share your words with them. You may contact them via telephone on 0333 012 4216 or email PALS.Office@emas.nhs.uk

I wish you a swift, sound recovery and all the best in the future.

Kind regards,

Rebekah
