I have had 2 major operations in this hospital and have received the best care one of these being for cancer with the full treatment of chemotherapy in 2006.
On 29th October 2015 I under went a total knee replacement after suffering for 20 years with osteoarthritis.
It is the best thing I have ever had done.
I can not praise the staff enough and in particular the forgotten staff of the anesthetic team, the staff member who explained everything in detail as we went along and made me feel relaxed.
The sister who could not do enough for my after care and treated me with respect and dignity.
I saw love compassion and professionalism in all the staff in that department.
I would also like to praise a student nurse who was like a ray of sunshine on the ward always smiling.
They will make a great nurse, they were caring, patient, kind and attentive and I wish them well in her chosen career.
"The best care"
