I visited the cardiology outpatients department in December for a 24 hour tape. The new QEll is lovely and clean.
The receptionist on the desk of outpatients was incredibly rude to me, they looked at me strangely when I arrived like they were surprised to see me, this made me feel like I was in the wrong place, they then were sarcastic and had a very bad attitude, it was completely unacceptable, although not clinical staff they still work in a hospital and I feel like should show a tiny bit of compassion or respect. As a young person attending a cardiology clinic I was obviously not feeling great and I think staff should be trained to be a bit more tactful as I imagine most of the people that pass through the doors are going through something or receiving bad news.
The technician I saw who talked me through my 24 hour tape was amazing and couldn't have done a better job, so thank you very much.
