About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus

Admission procedure excellent. Staff were helpful and understanding. Able to give information about patients dementia and medication, etc.

When patient was moved to another ward in the same unit either the information was not passed on or was not read by staff.

Patient did not receive normal meds for over 24 hours after admission (I was told not to take meds in) and staff took dementia patients word which appears to have been used in the decision about her treatment and aftercare

I’m grateful that you have taken the time to get in touch. To help us to act on your feedback, it would be helpful to know the wards that the patient you have contacted us about was being treated on and the date. I can then speak to the Ward Manager to get more information. We would, however, need to get consent from the patient to give out any information and therefore I would welcome a call with you to discuss further, please. You can contact me on 0115 924 9924 ext 62001 or by email to andrew.steggles@nuh.nhs.uk.

Kind regards, Andrew Steggles Patient Experience Officer
