About: Royal Bolton Hospital

Attended in the evening. Not very busy. First time I have been to this Hospital.

Had a accident at home and was concerned about symptoms

Was seen by the Triage Nurse who failed to take an appropriate history and correct information. Observations was clearly entered incorrectly as while waiting looked through notes. When a patient states there pain score is 7/10 ....and 2/10 is entered? Clearly affecting the waiting time for myself.

I was then seen after by an advanced Nurse Practictioner. I can honestly say the care received by this clinician was above outstanding. Not only did they throughly access myself in every possible way, carrying out all tests that was needed in a efficient way but they also made myself feel very comfortable giving myself the the utmost respect and dignity as a young female. I did not have to ask, they instantly provided great care and made sure I felt comfortable in that setting. A great clinician! i think it is vital that Nurses who triage should be trained too fake a full medical history and enter the correct observations. This is vital to ensure that patients are seen urgently if needed

Dear Ali, sorry that you had a mixed experience but good to know that the nurse practitioner did well. Your comments have been passed on to the department.
