"I felt really good because I hadnt been treated like this before"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I got given a card on Christmas Day and it was an invitation to the ice hockey. I had been before and loved it so I was delighted I could go again. This time though it was in a VIP box. We got waited on and a free programme and we even got to choose the MOTM. I couldn't believe it, I felt really good because I hadnt been treated like this before. Everyone was nice and we kept sharing chocolate and snacks. It was also nice seeing the other patients off the ward we share and enjoying themselves. We had lots of photos at the event and I want to put it up at the unit to remind me of it! I am glad Nottingham Panthers won and I have asked if I could go again. I also asked if I could get a season ticket!

Response from Rachel Redford, Project Manager, Local Services Division, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust

Hi what a christmas present that was! - I am so pleased you and your peers enjoyed the experience, we were very lucky. The VIP box was a very nice treat and I think the view was brilliant. Thank you to you all for choosing Man of the Match, it was a pleasure to present the award on your behalf. I hope to come and see some of your photos soon and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
