"Excellent care from start to finish"

I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and I cannot praise every one involved in my care highly enough! Although it was a shock, as nobody in my family has ever had it, I put my absolute faith in the breast care team to guide me through this scary time as easily as possible. The process was explained thoroughly to me and the surgeon told me exactly what the plan of care was.

On the day of my operation I was admitted to the Day Case Unit where again, the staff were exceptional. I was visited by the surgeon and anaesthetist before I went to theatre. Theatre staff were very reassuring as I was a little scared about going under a G.A. Before I knew it, I was back in recovery and then back onto the ward.

After being nil-by-mouth since ten pm the previous evening, the nurse -in-charge made me possibly THE best cup of tea I'd had for a long time! I was discharged a couple of hours afterwards.

I am now awaiting my results at the follow up appointment to see what the next step of my treatment is. Once again, heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in my care.
