I attended as a day patient on 21 December for a TOE procedure. I was extremely anxious about this but I must say it was fine. I arrived a little early but was called straight away and taken to a room for the procedure. The sister looking after me was so kind and caring. They constantly reassured me and explained what would happen. The cardiologist carried out the procedure and I was well sedated so knew nothing about it. I woke up as I was being taken down to the cardiac suite for recovery. There I was given water followed by 2 very welcome cups of tea and some biscuits. The cardiologist came down to give me the results and follow up and I was then allowed to go home. All in all about 3 hours from start to finish and no lasting after effects. All the staff who looked after me were kind and caring, thank you all.
"Excellent care in Cardiology Dept"
