"Treatment by ambulance staff"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance Victoria Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I suffered serious pain in my chest and my wife called an ambulance. It arrived within 15 minutes and I wish to record my sincere thanks for the exceptional treatment I received from the two members of staff.

They were very polite, professional and caring. Throughout the journey to hospital I was kept informed about the checks they were doing and what to expect at the hospital. They were an absolute credit to your service.

Their demeanour and responses took a great deal of anxiety from my wife who accompanied us to hospital.

Even at the Victoria Hospital they ensured my wife was kept in the loop. The ambulance was called just before 16. 00 on 25/12/15 and the male paramedic was Andrew ( I apologise as I have not remembered the name of his female colleague ) both were excellent.

I was taken from my home to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. Can my thanks be passed to these staff members.

Dear Seggie

Thank you for taking the time to express your thanks to the ambulance service, I am sure they will respond directly to you. As your post referred to the Victoiria Hospital it has come to NHS Fife as well. It is always good to hear positive feedback and very reassuring to hear about the way in which you were treated.

I hope you are making a good recovery

Kind Regards

Louise Ewing

Dear Seggie

I was sorry to hear about your recent illness but really pleased to read your kind words about the treatment you received from the ambulance service.

It was extremely pleasing to read about the professionalism and demeanour of the staff that treated you and how this helped you and reduce the anxiety of your wife in what must have been a frightening experience for you both.

I would be more than happy to pass on your thanks to the ambulance crew but would need a few more details to be able to identify them. Would it be possible to contact me at martinesposito@nhs.net or on 0131 314 0003 so that I could get those details?

In the mean time, I would like to wish you a speedy recovery and thank you so much for sharing your story.

Take care

Martin.

Update posted by Seggie (the patient)

Mr. Esposito

Thank you for your response. The ambulance was called just before 16.00 on 25/12/2015 and arrived about 10 minutes later and I was taken to Victoria hospital in Kirkcaldy. The ambulance crew were one male and one female paramedic. I believe the male was called Andrew but I forgot the name of the female member of staff. Both were excellent.
