About: Tameside General Hospital

I was admitted to tameside at 3 o'clock yesterday. We was told by my GP that the gynecologist would be aware of when I arrived so I could be seen straight away. I am 10 weeks pregnant and haven't kept anything down in 48 hours. When we arrived we sat down and was seen by triage fairly quickly. An hour later (good for tameside) we were seen by a doctor from the gynecologist unit who didn't read my note that the doctor sent so was completely unaware of anything never mind the fact I was pregnant. They told us there was no room and would come and get us when they had found a bed. 4 hours later my partner asked reception how long it would be as I was still being sick. They said the doctor has been looking for you.

We never had anyone shout us or anything as I didn't move out of my seat. The receptionist said they didn't hear them either.

5 minutes later we was found a bed and the doctor said something about missing communication and that they thought I had already been put through to a cubicle. When in the cubicle I was given an anti sickness and was told to wait for my IV. They came back with my iV at 10 o'clock(7 hours after arriving) and within 10 minute the I've bag had snapped. The nurse tried to repair it but couldn't so switched it off and said I would be put back on it on the ward. When I was taken up to the ward at 10.30. No one came to see me or check my notes. By 12 o'clock I had had enough and wanted to go home because all I needed was fluids and didn't have any. The nurse on the ward was lovely but didn't have a clue by iV bag was broke and would have had to request another from a doctor which would have taken another hour or so. At that point I discharged myself. I feel the staff do not speak to each other which resulted in me being left untreated for 10 hours.
