"I was in labour with my daughter ..."

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was in labour with my daughter for 18 hours and was given so much support by the nurses and staff on duty. They put me at ease, especially as it was my first baby, i was very nervous and was made to feel very comfortable and constantly informed on what was happening. My birth plan was followed to perfection.

What could be improved

After having my baby there wasnt any staff around to help me breast feed or get comfortable with my baby. Also The midwife i had during my time there was quite rude and snappy with me.

Also when buzzing for a member of staff the response time could be improved.

Anything else?

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience.

Your feedback will be passed on to the hospital to ensure they are aware of both the positive comments you gave regarding the support you were given and the concerns you expressed after your baby was born.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and best wishes for the future.
