"Excellent care given to my mother by all staff at Wishaw General Hospital"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Cardiology (Ward 4) University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My mother took a heart attack in late November and I had to call 999 service. The agent on the call (Lorna) was excellent with us and stayed on line until paramedics arrived to take over, She was transferred to Wishaw General Hospital and I can only say the treatment and care she was given at A & E, Emergency Care Ward and then when she was moved to Cardiac care unit was fabulous. She was in the cardiac care ward for 10 days and all the staff in this ward were excellent at their job and nothing was too much bother and my mum was looked after so well and kept informed at all times of her recovery. My mum and all the family would like to say a big thank you to them all.

Thank you very much for getting in touch and for your comments in relation to the care your mother received whilst an inpatient here at Wishaw General Hospital, and indeed at such a worrying time for you and your family. I hope that your mother is recovering well and her health will continue to improve.

Your positive comments are very welcome and I will ensure they are fed back to the staff in A&E and the Cardiology Ward, who work so hard in ensuring the care we deliver to patients is of a high standard, as well as being compassionate to the families of our patients. I have no doubt they will be delighted for the feedback.
