"Cornered by female neurologist."

About: The Royal London Hospital For Integrated Medicine

Appalling behaviour in consultant. Dismissed everything I said, only focused on one point. Almost bullied me into agreeing , closed every other option I might've have purely because I refused to take medicine. They said, and I quote: "I don't want to spend £500 to the NHS because it'll be wasting their time." "Don't go anywhere to ask for help because it won't be beneficial." "Go to the GP if you want help or go privately and spend your own money. Find your own treatment." "I don't want to be harsh but you have to take medicine."

And many more. They also refused to send me to a specific clinic I've been asking for ages, it has been advised from other neurologists and physiotherapists, as they didn't see the point of it.

Moreover when I explained some work places don't accept me because they see me as disabled, they cut me short saying: "well I disagree with that completely because you're not trying to improve your life by taking medicine." Even though I did explain my reasons not taking them. They were adamant and kept rudely persisting I have no other option other than to do as they say. I felt forced into a corner.

I find this sort of behaviour extremely shocking as no so-called doctors has a right to say these words.

I would much appreciate it if doctors in future were to handle their paitents with more respect.

If I was fully well I wouldn't have to come to any appointments at all. But the fact that I am, as well as others, seeking the best help to live with as little pain as possible and for the consultant to speak like that is a disgrace.
