"shocking!"

About: Parkside Hospital

I previously reported lack of patient care in a separate review, whilst my daughter was a patient at Parkside.

Within 24 hours of my daughter being left for 12 hours in a wet bed, due to a leaking catheter, a nurse carelessly left a used and uncovered syringe in her bed.

My daughter placed it on her table and went to report it. When she returned to her room her meal tray had been removed long with the offending item, as she had unwittingly placed it on the tray instead of on the table. This meant that whoever cleared the tray was at risk of being pricked by the used needle. Fortunately the tray and syringe were located before it left the second floor.

I am not anonymous in my review. I provided my email address for this review and my last one. We have photographic evidence of the used syringe left on the bed.
