What I liked
Admitted on day of bowel surgery. Cheerful staff put me at ease; surgeon and anaesthetist explained the procedure, and again put me at ease (my first surgery ever!). Into theatre less than 90 mins. after arrival with everything explained by courteous, kind and helpful professionals.
Awoke about 6 hours later on ward E7; very kind and considerate nurses who really did have my best interests at heart! First rate cleanliness of the ward - impressed!
I really do thank the consultant, his team and the staff on E7 for care which I feel could not possibly be bettered! I will, because of them, have a happy Xmas, and I hope they all do too!
Into the General Wednesday 2/12/09; discharged, well on the way to a complete recovery on Saturday 5/12/09. Thankyou General Hospital!
What could be improved
The food was adequate and could possibly have been a little more attractive! 5 choices for breakfast, a slice of bread (1) spread (1) and marmalade (1) constituted 3 of the choices!
Anything else?
Ward E7 seemed to enjoy an excellent 'team' working relationship - and their smiles meant a lot when you feel unwell! Thankyou!
