"Mental Health Awareness"

About: Chelsea & Westminster Hospital

I brought a friend, who was having an anxiety/panic attack, to the A and E wing of Chelsea and Westminster , where we were looked after well. We returned the next day as he had not calmed down and wanted to see the same doctor. The nurse who checks patients before being seen by the doctor did not help the situation at all and clearly does not understand mental health. To tell the patient ' we saw you last night, and you are now fine', made my blood boil and confused and angered by friend. He clearly was not and wanted to be checked up on.

I hope in the future mental health is treated in the same way as a sprained ankle, or a visible injury.
