What I liked

The heated blankets in theatre. Wonderful ! As the room was so cold!

A young nurse had amazing patience and empathy with the elderly patients - he was an absolute angel!

What could be improved

The toilet/bathrooms on the ward need more cleaning, and two are not enough for the amount of wards there are. The men and women used both and there was often urine in the floor.

One auxillary nurse's attitude needed inprovement - they said on two occassion's "you cant get on the bed, I dont care if you are tired" to two elderly patients who had had enough of sitting on their chairs after their hip ops.

Anything else?

The cleaning of the ward surfaces was pretty awful. A person came around with a bucket of water [which was used though all the wards] where a dishcloth was dipped into it and this was used to wipe down patient surfaces. They had a spray cleaner too with a j cloth which they used with no co-ordination on the occassional same surfaces.[but the floor was mopped by another cleaner twice a day].
