"Complete lack of basic care"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

My father was in the hospital for a month and throughout that time none of the nurses seemed to know anything about him. I never saw the same nurse twice and all of them had to refer to their notes every time I asked how he was, they never seemed to know who he was or what his condition was. Most of the time I got the answer "I've only just started looking after him today". There was absolutely no continuity of care whatsoever. They knew so little about him that they lost his glasses and denture and didn't realize, transferring him to another hospital without them. This shows a complete lack of basic care, removing his glasses and denture and not giving them back. And no-one knowing him well enough to notice. The items have now been lost and can't be found.
