"Staff smoking in bus shelter outside A&E"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

Not very good image of the hospital to have the staff in uniform complete with laminate badge.NHS logos ..sitting in groups puffing away at cigarettes enjoying a cup of coffee ..while those of us advancing in years ...wishing to sit down because its pouring rain ..have to stand and inhale their second hand smoke as they carry on gossiping as the staff sit ..some with surly stares.. oblivious to the old people getting soaked to the skin or the woman with kids in pushchairs.

Not just one off visits...most seem to be regular visitors

Its a disgrace ...shows you the lack of respect in society when even NHS staff are indifferent when in public in uniform

Not very professional ..it needs sorting ...there are smoking shelters outside the hospital but like creatures of habit they prefer to use a bus shelter in public..while turfing out the public who merely wish to sit rather than stand in the pouring rain while NHS staff gossip and puff away at cigarettes....strange that..does the bus shelter have some attraction? is it warmer?is it cleaner? cosier seats?or is it they prefer to not be in the hospital grounds.? which speaks volumes !

And the bush shelter pavement littered with cigarette dog ends .

Disgusting behavior ..not very professional and shabby
