"MAU 3 days"

About: King George Hospital

My only concern was being in MAU for 3 days, I do understand that this is unavoidable at very busy times, my treatment in both MAU and cardioligy was excellent. MAU is busy both day and especially during the night, it is very noisey and sleep when feeling very poorly is impossible. Staff were excellent and anything I asked or was worried about was answered, and my mind was put at rest. Food was disgusting but I think this is across the board for most hospitals. Parking for visitors is expensive and why the coffee shop has to be so expensive is beyond me when this could so easily be run by volunteers as was in the past.

I am very pleased to hear about your experience at King George Hospital and it is wonderful to hear that all the staff you met treated you well. I will ensure that your comments are passed onto to MAU especially around the noise at night, and our Cardiology Department. I will also pass on your feedback to Sedexo, who are responsible for the hospital catering, parking and the day to day running of the canteen. Thank you once again for taking the time to make us aware of your experience.

Yours sincerely

Wendy Matthews

Interim Chief Nurse
