"Crisis team - well named!"

About: Tees, Esk And Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust / Crisis resolution

(as a relative),

My brother became extremely paranoid as a result of taking part in dialogue on a political blog and with other associated problems. It took the family some time to persuade him that this was a medical problem and the experiences he was having were because of this.

Finally we went to see a doctor who thankfully referred him to Sandwell Park and we got an appointment straight away.

The crisis team were excellent. They listened to him carefully as he explained his situation and they managed to get medication for him straight away.

The medication took effect almost immediately overnight but also he felt great relief and received reassurance that what he was suffering from was not so unusual and that he would feel better very soon.

I can't thank the crisis team enough as my brother is recovering slowly thanks to their care and concern.
