Started on a new medication 1 day ago and almost immediately had a reaction not listed spent next 10 hours rushing to loo to pass urine and stomach was very bloated and had abdominal pain. Hardly had any sleep so rang surgery and after explaining to Receptionist was told no appointments available (didn't even offer telephone consultation after explaining wanted to discuss continuation of the medication). She advised pharmacist or 111. Tried 111 and what was I told to ring GP which I had already explained I had tried, then told to take paracetamol and ibuprofen (I cant take ibuprofen as have had a gastric ulcer due to taking anti-inflammatories for many years).
Advice given was dreadful/worthless, a supervisor then rang me back to say that the Urgent Care Centre had asked that I go to GP as obviously they are busy - does anyone actually listen - I dont think so.
Will do my usual stuff and not bother and crawl away to die (as I am over 70 this is probably what they wish anyway! ).
"Does anyone actually listen?"
