I went on 6th of December for lumbar decompression and that went very well lovely admitting team dealt with my paperwork and was very pleasant the surgical nurse was fantastic who helped me remain calm even though i was axious and scared and the rest of surgical team were aslo fantastic.
However I found that using my buzzer on the ward 203 took ages before someone came to me on one occasion I had to wait 10 mintutes for assistance in a very uncomfatable postiton because no one had showed me how to use the bed control properly so could not put it up or down and I aslo could not stretch my legs fully in the bed meaning my pain was worse , and this morning 8/12/15 I found one of the nurses rude and very unsupportive making me so much feel worse as soon as the consultant said I could go home another nice person came in filled out my paperwork then I asked them to phone home for me and for mum & dad to collect me I was then taken to the discharge lounge by wheelchair and felt relieved again
And finally at home I am more comfortable than in the hospital not a 100% pleasant stay
However some nurses in the ward were very pleasant and very supportive
"I just wanted to go home !"
