"Great care, terrible food choices"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

We were seen to promptly and curteously and overall were very impressed with the service on a Sunday afternoon. All the staff were nothing short of fantastic.

However we were shocked at the range of food served in the canteen, mostly fizzy drinks, a couple of white bread rolls, sugary yoghurts, chocolates, crisps and cakes. No wonder this country is on the cusp of a type 2 diabetes epidemic if the food in a location you would expect to promote healthy eating is of this standard.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I am pleased that you found the A&E team to be fantastic and were impressed with the service.

The team try their best every day and it is feedback such as yours that makes it all worthwhile.

I'm sorry that you were disappointed in the food options.

Weekend opening times for Pinetrees Restaurant, hot food is served between 12.00noon and 2.00pm; the restaurant closes for the afternoon and reopens at 6.00pm. During those hours Café Glade is open serving a range of beverages hot and cold, long with sandwiches and a limited range of hot food type snacks.

Pinetrees have a selection of soft and fizzy drinks which include diet/low calorie type drinks, fruit juice with low sugar, plain water and flavoured, long with hot beverages. Yogurts are low fat with fruit to Greek type yoghurts.

I'm sorry that wasn't your experience at the weekend and have fed your comments back to the catering team.

I do hope you have recovered well

Kind Regards

Claire Marshall
