"The nurses that looked after my ..."

About: Pembury Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

The nurses that looked after my son were very polite and hard working.

What could be improved

Teenage children should not be treated like toddlers, and if parents are present they could be made to feel more involved in their child's treatment.

Anything else?

I am very angry at the manner of one particular doctor, who was a registrar. My son was admitted following an asthma attack, and the way they talked to him caused him such a huge amount of stress that I really believe they set back his recovery. I am still utterly disgusted by their complete lack of bedside manner and will never go to Pembury hospital again.

In addition, despite being told at 6am on admission that my son had food allergies the hospital was unable to provide him with a suitable meal. In the 30 hours he was there he was only offered a banana, a bag of crisps and a slice of toast and jam.
