"consultant led unit"

About: Lister Hospital

For the first three months of my pregnancy i poured with blood and it took a lot of hospital trips for them to finally reveal my baby was in fact alive and well and my problem wasn't pregnancy related.

Because of being so poorly doctors told ne to take iron and it wasn't working to bring my iron levels up. I ended up not being able to do anything and was never able to get a midwife appt

I ended up ny waters breaking at 32 weeks and was extremely poorly.

When my baby came at 35 weeks i was on consultant led unit and they were absolutely amazing from beginning to end after having my first boy on mlu i didn't expect something so great from clu.

I constantly had blood taken.iron infusions etc. I had an extremely difficult labour, birth and afterbirth yet they was all amazing and sympathetic. I never got to meet my baby til 6hrs later but during those 6hrs they helped me get ready and everything.

I could not have been more grateful...eespecially for my midwife as if it wasn't for them my baby would not be here. Im so grateful they ignored the midwife on charge saying my baby wouldn't need special care.

Thankyou

Xxxxx
