"My experience with the Eye clinic"

My doctor submitted a letter to this department in August. After a couple of weeks I phoned the eye clinic to be told that my appointment was routine and I would have to wait 18 weeks for an appointment which took me up to Christmas, despite the fact I had had a successful cataract operation over 2 years ago.

My eye sight got worse. I went back to my doctor who advised I could book with another hospital. I booked with Pembury Tonbridge Wells Hospital who gave me an appointment within 3 weeks. As I had come a long way the doctor said she would deal with me at the end of her clinic that same day. She subsequently gave me laser eye treatment which took about 15 minutes and cleared the debris which had formed and left my eyesight perfect.

I subsequently received an appointment from East Surrey for next February, 6 MONTHS after they were informed of my problem. I, of course cancelled the appointment but was disappointed that I had been treated this way. , since I had been a previous patient with them and had been very pleased at the time.
