I'm currently on the Disney ward in bay 3 with my four year old daughter who is struggling to breath without oxygen.
Whilst it is clear the nurses are working flat out we have not seen a doctor since 9.00 this morning who suggested that my daughter should have a chest X-ray which took place at 13.30. It's now 19.30 and despite asking on the hour we are yet to see anyone about the results which is not acceptable.
Align this with the fact she is meant to have a neb every two hours which seems to be when people remember rather than to that timescale you can imagine how frustrated we are.
Living in Stockport we were in stepping hill hospital in September for the same thing where we received care that was light years ahead of this.
I can only suggest that someone from Northampton visits Stepping Hill children's department and learn some lessons.
Simply not good enough!
"6 hours to wait for X-ray results"
