I am 110% certain I will not be taking my Daughter to the Loughborough walk in centre again when she is having ear trouble. My daughter has a past history of ear trouble. Twice, on 2 seperate occasions, I have taken my daughter there as she has been in extreme agony with her ear and it leaking gummy stuff and with spots of blood in it and both times, a Nurse or Doctor have both diagnosed her with just a "Viral Infdction" both saying her ear is slightly red but all linked to viral... on both times, within hours of visiting walk in centre, I have ended up at either our Doctors or Leicester Royal A&E with my daughter only to be diagnosed with having a burst eardrum!! How can a supposedly professional Doctor and Nurse both miss this?? Disgusted is putting it mildly!! No matter what illness you go with, to the walk in centre with, rash, cough, ear trouble, you just get fobbed off with it being viral Infection!! I'v come to the conclusion that they know no other medical term other than viral!! If you want a proper, most definitely more accurate diagnosis, then go elsewhere other than the walk in centre.
"Totally disgusted with the walk in centre"
