"Best service received in a hospital."

About: Leeds General Infirmary

I had never been to Leeds Infirmary before. My partner and I were referred to the Cardiac Investigations Unit here from our usual hospital after they discovered a suspected heart defect in my unborn baby. We were there for an hour. In that hour, I received a foetal heart scan and a consultation with three professionals straight afterwards giving me far better news than the scaremongering I received at my usual hospital. I was then sent for an ECG, seen straight away and after a few minutes had another consultation confirming I could take a treatment to help my baby and arrangements made to seen me again for further tests to ensure mine and my baby's health. I was given the prescription and directed to the pharmacy and that was it: done.

I have never received such a speedy and professional service. All three knew exactly what they were doing, were able to answer all my questions and were so polite and friendly. If I lived close enough to Leeds I would love to have this hospital over my local one as my local just does not compare with the great experience I had here.
