"excellent care from all walks of nursing staff"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

I had an unfortunate accident in the Multi Storey car park in Harlow Hosp. A very kind man went for an ambulance who was there in under 5 mins.

More Ambulance crew turned up and quickly assessed the situation, took me straight to A & E and after booking me in, approx 10 mins I was immediately seen by A & E Dr and their team all of whom were very kind, caring, courteous, I was taken to X-Ray within 10 mins by an extremely kind porter, whilst I was treated extremely quickly as an emergency I did get the impression that everyone was treated fairly. The A & E Dr came back, and they themself and took me for another X-Ray.

Unfortunately I did have a fairly long await to see the Maxifacial Dr but they had had several emergencies that day so not a problem.

Whilst waiting I was offered and given painkillers.

When we got to see the Maxillofacial Dr, the nurse apologised for the wait and said that the Dr hadn't yet had a break and would be with us soon, but the Dr refused the break and saw to me straightaway.

As they were a junior they had to refer me to see the Consultant, the following Monday, but from arranging a C T Scan to booking an appt and phoning us the next day they were so efficient and caring, their original diagnosis was also spot on.

I would sincerely like to thank the whole of the team from the start with the Ambulance Staff, to the A & E Dept, X-Rays, Porters to Maxlliofacial Team and all the Nurses.

Even the Receptionist at X-Ray took me back to A & E to save waiting for a Porter.

I am still receiving treatment from the Maxlliofacial Team and am seeing a Trauma Consultant at The Royal London Hosp on Monday. Felt I really had 5 star treatment in a difficult profession.
