"Fantastic treatment by all staff members"

We went in late at night, transferred from out of hours doctors. We were seen within the hour and the surgical team were on standby for us. Every single member of staff treated my 6year old son and myself and husband with dignity, respect and care. The team worked well together and ensured that my son was as comfortable and un-scared as possible. After the operation there was a fold out bed ready for myself when my son came back to the ward. The play team were fantastic in the morning, making sure that he had toys that he liked to try to put a smile on his face. In the afternoon there was a magician in the play room which really helped to lift the spirits of children and parents. I would absolutely commend the nursing team, they were obviously very busy but always came in with a smile for my son and made time for anything we needed. We waited for quite a while for the doctor, but considering when we were the emergency, they were there, I absolutely didn't mind this wait. Absolutely fantastic ward.
