"Consultants let this department down"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital

First off this department breached my appointment date by quite a considerable amount. When I was finally seen after yet another cancellation, the consultant I had to see was rude to me and ignorant to my health issues. They made me feel like rubbish and put me off seeking a second opinion and ensuring my care was right.

Had I been stronger at the time I should have made an official complaint.

I wish this review centre allowed the review to be of a specific consultant.

I am really sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the services you have received.

You mention about considering making a complaint, I would advise you that complaints can be made up to 12 months of the event or of you being aware of an issue. In certain circumstances the Trust will waive this timelimit. If you wish to make a complaint or wish to discuss the time limit for making one please could you contact our Patient Services Team on telephone number 0114 271 2400 or by emailing pst@sth.nhs.uk

Kind regards.
