On Thursday 19th November my son Samuel broke his left arm whilst play fighting on a bed with his brother. I immediately took him to the AE department at Kettering General Hospital. He was first reviewed by the AE nurse practitioner and then had his arm x rayed and plastered. Friday morning he was called back to the Frank Radcliffe fracture clinic, reviewed by orthopaedic doctors and admitted to Skylark ward for his arm to be pinned. He went down to theatre in the afternoon for his operation, returned to the ward a few hours later and went home Saturday morning with his mother.
I would like to express my deep gratitude at the impeccable and professional care my son received throughout his stay at Kettering General. From the moment he entered AE to the time he left Skylark ward all the staff, AE, doctors ,nurses ,HCA's, theatre staff showed nothing but kindness, consideration and compassion throughout. All are a credit to the hospital and the NHS. Once again from Samuel,s mother and father thank you to all involved for your care, compassion and professionalism.
