What I liked
Relaxed ward although pre operation was a rather stressful time as not enough information. Food good, although not being hot spoils it a little. Staff mostly very kind and need better pay and less hours, Being able to use mobile phone good. Cheerful atmosphere..
What could be improved
Not nice to be awake in ICU as nightime is very lonely with only the problems of other patients to look at. A section for patients who spend time awake in there would be better. A little more information about what has happened would help when problems occur.
Anything else?
Not enough information about what will happen after the operation and no explantions given to someone who finds that they have had extra surgery. No radio access at beds very unusual as available in most hospitals' Doctors very good.
