"Great care at Haslar Hospital, "

I would just like to say a great big thank you to everyone at Haslar Hospital, Gosport, who do such a fine job of looking after both the patients and their relatives. The care is second to none.

The hospital is so clean that you could eat your dinner off the floor and the facilites that make all the difference to visiting relatives, including a large free car park, make life easier when for those close to you when you are ill.

At a time when the NHS seems to be declining day by day, such a superb facility is just what you need to restore your faith in the NHS.

However, this hospital is set to close in 2009 and everyone living in Gosport, Fareham and the surrounding areas will be much worse off. The replacement, Queen Alexandra, is over 1 hours drive away. I'm afraid people of this area will be in for a shock when comparing it to the fabulous Haslar Hospital.
