"Nothing was too much trouble"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Trauma & Orthopaedics

(as a relative),

My wife had a major operation on her back to straighten her spine.

The consultant explained everything to us to try and prepare us for the ordeal but no-one could have prepared us for the amazing care and devotion of ALL the staff on Hestercombe Ward.

My wife was in a very poor state after the operation and over the next 11 days on Hestercombe Ward she was given the best care possible.

Nothing was too much trouble. On one occasion I discovered that the nurse was actually going home but attended my wife first, without even making us aware that she was going home.

We owe them so much more than just our gratitude.

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to write to give praise to the staff who cared for your wife at Musgrove Park Hospital.

It is always a pleasure to receive commendations such as yours and I thank you for your kind comments which I will pass on to the staff involved.

I hope this finds your wife making a good recovery. Lucille Hoose. PALS & Complaints Lead.
