I don't normally bother putting my feelings down, but felt the need to after my short stay on B1. Literally from the minute I arrived I was kept updated and informed with everything that was going to happen to me during and after surgery. The nursing staff went above and beyond to put me at ease. Within the first hour and a half, I had met the Consultant, anaesthetist and theatre nurse. I also had a rough idea of when I would be going down to theatre.
Operation went well and I was soon back on the Ward. The Consultant again popped their head in to see how I was just before they left which I thought was a nice caring touch. I have to say, that the ward I was on had 2 much older ladies post surgery. Both of these patients needed much much more assistance than myself and not once did I witness any nurse make out it was too much bother, the compassion given to both of these old dears was outstanding and very touching.
A wonderful ward with wonderful staff and extremely pleasant and none stressful stay - Thank you!
