"Out of hours treatment"

I spent all last night sleepless due to a gum abscess which arrived quite suddenly. I rang my local surgery and was put through to the out of hours "triage" service. Was told i would be contacted within 60 mins. Less than 10 mins later I had a call from the duty doctor at the local hospital who agreed with my diagnosis and suggested I went to the hospital. I was efficiently and courteously signed in by the receptionist and had to wait around 20 mins before the doctor saw me. She was most helpful despite being treated rather rudely by the previous patient. Off I went with my prescription for pain relief and antibiotics to the local pharmacy. The pharmacist had a query about the script which she resolved by calling the doctor directly.
