On Monday morning while driving to work I had severe chest pains so I called an ambulance which arrived at my home. I was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital and admitted to A&E for resuscitation. For my after care I was moved to ward D1 then to C1. Tests showed that I had a heart attack. On Thursday I went to Manchester RMI for an angiogram and then angioplasty. I returned to Bolton CCU and was discharged on the Friday. Nursing staff and doctors and consultants at Bolton and Manchester were caring, attentive and excellent. The speed of the service and treatment from ambulance service to all doctors and nurses was excellent. The nursing staff on C1 and CCU are the best I have ever met; genuine, caring, helpful, polite and professional. Although the NHS comes in for much bad press, I cannot say enough in praise of the service when an emergency arises. Thank you.
