What I liked

This hospital has improved beyond belief in recent years. Without exception all the staff I met were kind, polite, helpful, patient, professional and caring both in A/E and EAU. Despite being on the Emergency Assessment Unit (where in most hospitals patients are in mixed sex bays) I was pleasantly surprised to find myself placed in a "same sex" bay and appreciated the sensitivity and thoughtfulness of staff towards both myself and the other patients. The staff were tremendously busy but call bells were answered promptly and care was always unhurried and staff always found time to give information, listen to concerns and give information and reassurance to their patients. They have every right to feel immensely proud of the standard of care that they give.

What could be improved

Another 500 staff to ease the workload and a pay rise for them all, but I don't expect that will happen!
