"I cannot thank the consultant enough"

About: King's Mill Hospital

I am 34 weeks pregnant and had to undergo an emergency appendectomy. Despite all the usual tests and scans showing that appendicitis was unlikely to be the cause of my pain and many doctors and consultants not knowing what direction to take next. The consultant listened to me and not just looked at blood tests and agreed to operate. At 8 months pregnant I was understandably terrified but I was reassured and all my doubts went away and I knew I was in safe hands. I honestly cannot thank the consultant enough not only did they rid me of my pain their caring personality is exactly what is needed before and after surgery. The operation was a success and 1 week later I am healing well and my pregnancy is progressing nicely. Thanks again for everything.

Also a special thanks to the nurse who helped with keeping me calm when going into theatre.
