I was in Bramshott Ward for 5 nights following a total knee replacement operation. I have nothing but praise for the excellent care and attention I received from all the staff. OK, so the food could have been better, but I wasn't that hungry anyway. During my stay I received quite a number of Get Well cards which were displayed on a string hung across the bottom of my bed, an arrangement in common with other patients. I was discharged, rather unexpectedly, on a Sunday morning and my husband came to pick me up and my belongings. Driving home, I suddenly realised that I had forgotten to collect my Get Well cards, My husband offered to drive back to collect them but I thought that they had probably been ditched since the ward was very busy and they were preparing my bed for another patient as I left and, anyway, I was anxious to get home. Imagine my surprise and delight when later that week I received a package containing all my cards. One of the nurses had obviously been to the trouble to collect them up, get my address, address an envelope and then to post them to me. I was delighted. Beat that for a caring service!
