"medically competent"

About: Western Eye Hospital

Went for emergency treatment (poked myself in the eye gardening!). My condition was not overly distressing, just very painful. It was 5pm on a Wednesday evening and the place was full with a wait time of 3-4 hrs (setting expectations). I was assessed by a nurse after 20mins and seen by a doctor 80mins later. This doctor was relaxed, competent and had excellent communication skills. The prescribed medicine was supplied 5mins later with a sit down explanation of exactly how to administer. The attention and treatment was first rate. It was a long wait, but worth it.
