"Astoundingly incompetent staff"

About: National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery - Queen Square

The outpatients team have the simple task of booking and scheduling appointments. A very straight forward task which should have a suitable procedure. Somehow, they manage to completely over complicate things where by my appointment took8 emails, 5 phone calls and 3 months just to schedule my appointment. Then, 6 days before my long awaited appointment is due they send me a letter saying, 'you've requested to no longer be treated at the hospital' ! I send no such request!

When I complained to the hospital and PALS I got no response whatsoever and their mistake remains unresolved.

I understand that public sector staff are unskilled but this lot are something else.

Thank you for taking the time to feed back to us. We are very sorry to hear about your recent experience of Outpatients at NHNN. We would be grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) via pals@uclh.nhs.uk or by calling 020 3448 3237 so that we can look into this.
