I awoke yesterday with double vision. I rang my doctor at Danebridge who immediately gave me an 11.20 appointment. The doctor sent me home to expect a call from the Leighton Eye care unit, which came promptly within a couple of hours, with an appointment for an hour later. Arrived at the hospital, seen immediately by the ophthalmologist, who efficiently performed a battery of tests and provided a prismatic lens for immediate relief.

I was then passed on to the Doctor, who again performed other tests, and sent me home to await a call from the following consultation with their consultant. Altogether I was probably only at the hospital for about an hour.

Today I had a call from the eye centre again offering a further appointment with the Doctor, who had decided that some blood tests and an MRI scan would be appropriate. The blood tests were performed immediately, and a request forwarded on to the MRI team to make an appointment.

No waiting again today, as soon as I arrived the helpful receptionist quickly passed me through to the Doctor for quick attention.

What more could I ask for? Quick, efficient and effective help by sensitive and friendly staff who quickly make you feel at ease.

Private care could not perform any better than these terrific staff. Thank-you!

This is a very busy department and patients occasionally do have to wait to be seen. It is truly lovely to get such positive feedback on your experience and I will ensure that your feedback is given to the relevant teams.
