"Everyone is working together to keep me safe"

I started coming to the day centre fairly recently. I was having some problems at home and it is good for me to get out the house. My carers saw I was having problems and were worried about me. I had a meeting with my carers, day centre staff, my social worker, the police and east Ayrshire advocacy; everyone is working together to keep me safe.

I really enjoy coming to the centre, I look forward to it. It’s different company as normally I’m sitting at home alone all day. It’s a good crowd here.

The staff here are very good. It’s good that it’s the same carers, I know them well. The bus was running late this morning but they phoned to let me know.

I enjoy the arts and crafts but it would be good if there was more time for this. There is always something happening so it’s difficult to fit everything in.
