About: Hexham General Hospital

I chose Northumbria Health authority instead of Cumbria due to the excellent reputation and Hexham hospital was my choice.

I attended twice, first for an initial consultation and then for a colonoscopy. This was a worrying procedure for me due to bowel cancer running in my family. The consultant was amazing, they made me feel at ease, reassured me that all would be ok and treated me with the utmost care and compassion as knew I was very nervous.

Thankfully everything was ok but if it hadn't been I knew I would be in the best hands.
